Portal Prelude

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

A sequel to Valve’s Portal has been announced – but not by Valve. Portal Prelude comes from a three-man dev team that have been working on an unofficial prequel to The Orange Box hit since January. It’s a bigger game that harks back to a pre-GlaDOS era, it’s coming very soon (end of September/October time) and best of all, it’s completely free! All you need to play it is Steam and the original Portal game. Check it out here.

Trials 2 hits Steam

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Redlynx’s Trials 2 motorbike game is now available for download from digital delivery service Steam. It’s a scarily addictive bike sim with silly physics, pitting your hapless cyclist against bone-crunching time trial races and stunt courses ranging from ‘ooh, that’s a bit tough’ to ‘bastard hard’. Scores are automatically uploaded to a worldwide leader board and the game very cleverly lets you download ghosts of other players to race against. It’s a fantastic game that we recommend everyone should try, especially since the price has now halved to a ludicrous $9.99.
